To stimulate the economy, of course! And since Uncle Shrub has been kind enough to increase the deficit send me a check for $600, I want to be a good, patriotic American and stimulate things.

So, dear flist, what should I do?

Put it in a tax-sheltered annuity :-)

That has potential, especially if it's a annuity that's somehow connected to overthrowing the patriarchy....

if you can afford it, stuff some of it into an IRA or other retirement savings account.

A good and practical idea. I'll keep that in mind - thanks!

Blow *some* of it on something you either know to be useful or believe to be beautiful (to quote William Morris), and put the rest in some kind of high interest savings account.

I could go to Pennsic and back four times over for that much...hm, using the check to buy a ton of fabric and books at the War sounds like a good option.

Two-thirds on something cool, one-third on Pennsic.

Spend some on Pennsic, some on fabric for new SCA garb, and then bank the rest for a rainy day. That's my 2 Knuts' worth of free advice, worth exactly what you pay for it. And at least you GOT some - I got diddly squat, but my ex got some for all four of the children I'm raising....
