Meeting with financial planner went *very* well. We basically identified three goals, two long-range (retirement and eventually selling the Shack/buying a condo), one immediate (getting me enough extra income to afford K'zoo and/or the AQSG Seminar each year, plus a major research trip once every year or so). He thinks it's doable given how much I have to invest, and was delighted that I'd immediately paid off my credit cards and was investing in my house by having it fixed up. We're to meet next Friday before I leave for the War to go over his ideas.

Also, got oil change and found out that Richard, Prince of Auto Mechanics, has relatives in Tuscany! I wish I'd known before I went to Florence or I would have sent him a postcard - he was fascinated!
