Woman attacked in Pittsburgh over McCain sticker on car.

This follows a rash of attacks against property and ACORN canvassers by McCain supporters. What's next, angry Ralph Nader supporters going postal in a mall?

UPDATE: the "victim" had admitted that she faked the attack. This is after it made all the right-wing shows, and got her sympathy calls from both McCain and Palin, both of whom must be pretty angry at being conned this way.

What is this country coming to so that whether you support Obama or McCain others believe they can perpetrate either personal (or property) attacks upon someone? Whether or not I believe in someone else's "political views" does not give me the right to get up in their face. It's a sad commentary upon today's society that name calling is the least of the worries of anyone supporting a particular candidate(s). Show some class America! And, yes I can't wait until this election is OVER!

Look at the B on this woman's face. Is the McCain / Palin campaign this desperate that they have to make this crap up? She obviously used a mirror because the B is backwards. The ATM camera footage does not match the timeline of this woman's story, and she said the reason she was not on camera during the attack was because she had to walk quite a ways to her car. If her car was that far away, how would the supposed criminal see it? This story wreaks.

This lady is obviously lying. There is no way a "black" robber will take the time to attack their victim, sit on their chest and neatly carve a BACKWARDS B into someone's face, especially while robbing them at an ATM. I also noticed that her injuries on her face looks manufactured. If she was attacked by a black man, she would have been pimped slapped, received a fat lip, have choke marks on her neck, and more bruises on her face.

A 6'4" black man with shiny shoes? LOL! Ridiculous!

So it appears she didn't struggle because she would also have print marks on her face where the robber would have had to hold her still while carving the B in her face.

Geez, what publicity craving idiots will stoop to just to get themselves in the news.

Last I saw on line last night the police reports were calling it a hoax, saying that there was no way a knife could have produced the mark. I think she's a nutjob.

HUGE doubts have been raised about the veracity of this young woman's claims. Pittsburgh police are now going to ask her to take a polygraph because of conflicting evidence found at the crime scene.

Even Michelle Malkin doubts the girl's story on her blog.

She failed the polygraph tests. She never said a word about a bumper sticker or anything else when the police first arrived. She has a BACKWARDS B on her face as if it had been done with a fingernail in the mirror.

And the media just ignores all the inconsistencies. But hey, it makes for a good way to keep all the hate stirred up out there.

She is now facing charges of filing a false police report, and the judge must be either very angry or worried she'll get a bunch of political money, because her bail is set at 50K. She has confessed to making up the story and now claims she has a mental health history and found the mark on her face with no memory of putting it there, although she also says she must have because it appeared when she was driving around alone.

I think among other things, the police were annoyed that she thought they'd be that stupid. The ATM surveillance camera shows she was not at the machine the assault supposedly had occurred at.

I suggest editing your entry to mention it turned out to be a hoax, although I expect most people who care have learned about it by now.
