2. Go to xe.com and get the conversion rate. Discover that 15 pounds is about $21.

3. Calculate that the shipping to the US will bring the price up to $35 US.

4. Check Amazon.com and discover that the same book is being sold for about $45.

5. Order directly from Amazon.co.uk.

6. Smile smugly to one's self.

Alas, with the exchange rates as they are, I'm having the opposite problem! There's at least one book on my Amazon.co.uk wishlist which would cost me, with postage/packing, about 11 pounds. It's available on Amazon.com for only just over $3. But the shipping from the US would push it back up to about the same price as the UK one, *and* it would take several weeks to get to me. Aaarrrggghhh. :-)
