I agree. Its ridiculous to listen to the TV pundits when all the votes haven't even been tallied or the polls closed. I'm going to bed, getting a good nights sleep and waiting for the official results from the States themselves, not some TV anchor person who needs something to talk about on TV to fill slots between commercials.
They're using a lot of exit polling to make their cases. And I think we've learned that exit polling amounts to a hill of beans at the end of things. Early on CNN was being very, very careful about calling things, but once MSNBC called PA and OH, they called it five minutes later. I'm not saying they're feeling pressured to do it, but I'm not 100% sure they aren't.
Still, I'm praying it'll all shake out in the end.
The BBC and CNN gap was wide earlier too, both online and on TV. I think some groups are calling things a bit too early. You'd think they'd learn after a while. =/
