Lazy day

Today was the first Saturday in many moons where I did not have to do anything. I had no commitments, no deadlines, and no responsibilities.

So I did what I have badly needed to do: I slept very late, had a leisurely lunch at a local Italian joint, and then spent a couple of hours browing at Sage Books, my favorite used bookstore. I chatted with the owners, petted the bookstore cats Skippy and Itty, and got to meet Ginger, the non-bookstore cat (a beautiful little sealpoint Siamese). I bought several books and a gift certificate, ate well, and took a long, hot bath. I accomplished nothing and was not productive.

It was great. ;)

(No pun intended!)

A co-worker gave me her program book from the play "Gee's Bend", which was in tandem with the Gee's Bend quilt exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. If you IM me your snail mail address (and mundane name!), I'll mail it off to you.

:-)
