Very, very quiet day. I slept late, had bagels in Northampton, and then did three loads of laundry (how did I get so many mismatched socks???). I came home, answered e-mail, and cleaned my bedroom (finding even *more* socks, all of which will be washed and sorted in hopes of finding their mates).
I'm taking this weekend to go back to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston with Una (she's never been), after which I start serious writing on a project that may or may not pan out. January 12th is the first day of classes toward my on-line MA, so we'll see how that goes - the textbooks look very dry and theoretical. I hope to God this doesn't mean deconstructionism, which I cannot stand....
Beyond that, the New Year is New. 2008 was good (Florence, new job, Betty's estate settling) and bad (feeling like I was forced out of the Agency, the Great Unpleasantness in September). Odd numbered years have been problematic for me but not always, so we shall see....
