I'm sick, but I'm not

My sinuses were completely clogged when I woke up this morning, and I developed the dreaded scratchy throat and general feeling of malaise as the day wore on. I am definitely coming down with *something*, and since I have some sick time accumulated I may well use it tomorrow if I feel crappy; I already informed the co-workers who'd be covering for me that I might be calling in, and he's fine with it, so all I'd have to do is haul my carcass out of bed long enough to call.

So yes, I'm sick.

But then again, I'm not.

Back in December my annual women's physical turned up a few anomalies. Neither my nurse practitioner nor the radiologist who examined my imaging slides thought it was serious, but they ordered more tests on the off chance that I had developed something nasty.

Today I had ultrasounds and a second mammogram...and thank God and the angels, all was clear. So even though I feel crappy and am sick, at least I'm not sick.

*toddles toward kitchen for a cup of chamomile tea*
