Why is the First Lady wearing a dress that appears to be studded with small, mutant tribbles? And why oh why did the designer not hem it to a length where she could dance without tripping over it?

It's an Oscars gown. Suitable for sweeping on and off a stage but not suitable for dancing when the train can only get in the way every time she turns. And that shoulder strap... *is speechless*
