After more than a week of feeling drained to the point of being unable to move, I finally went to the doctor today. After having my lung capacity tested, circulation checked, throat cultured, and blood pressure taken, the verdict is in: sinus infection, with a very small chance of strep.

I now have a ten day script for amoxicillan, a two month supply of nasal steroids, a package of Ricola, and a bottle of Mucinex that I am frankly terrified of trying because I don't want to be up half the night coughing up most of the contents of my chest cavity. I also cancelled Needleworkers because I wanted to rest, and will almost certainly reschedule my appointment at the body shop for Sapphy because it's at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow and I'd like to sleep late.

I also have a paper due tomorrow. Fortunately it's short....

*hugs*

I love Mucinex!! That stuff dried me up and let me sleep snot-free for a good 6-7 hours-- it was wonderful! I hope it works for you too.

Ah. Bummer. We know all about sinus infections. Hope the antibiotic kicks in quickly and you recover!
