Attention SCAdians:

Wal-Mart is now selling t-shirts with artwork that seems to have been ripped off from an SCA scroll. Please see [livejournal.com profile] sca for details.

Pass the word along. The scribe should be located ASAP and notified to see if something can be done. Thanks.

Wow, that's bizarre. I don't think posting to my neck of the woods will do much good (all the Scadians I know are here in An Tir or in Europe, if I recall correctly), but I'll put up a link anyway, just to get the word out. :)

Thanks for posting it. I'll cross-post to my LJ too.

And I've dropped the link into an email to our Kingdom Signet and Backlog Signet, if only for their interest.

It's from the Barony(?) of Windmaster's Hill, wherever that is -- much chat about it online. It looks like a pretty open-and-shut copyright infringement; the only complicating factor is whether the scroll's recipient may have given consent -- which doesn't excuse the infringement, it would just give Wal-Mart an excuse why they thought it was OK. But copyright definitely belongs to the scribe & illuminator.
