I turned 49 today, and celebrated by going to work. ;)
Actually, it was a pretty good day. Annual review was quite good and much, much less painful than most annual reviews. I picked up my free ice cream at Bart's, the local homemade place, and had two yummy slices of pizza for lunch. I then treated myself to dinner at a local Italian place, and the only reason I didn't have a glass of their excellent Rufina Chianti was because I've been so exhausted from the heat that I was afraid of falling asleep face first in my black pepper fettucine. I also delighted a co-worker by bringing her Jaffa cakes, which she deserves for all her hard work.
Now I'm home and hoping I can sleep tonight....

As for "Jaffa Cakes", being a Stargate fan my mind goes weird places when I read that (for one thing, the reaction of actor Chris Judge -- who played the "Jaffa" warrior -- when some Aussie fans presented him with "Jaffa Cakes" at his first GateCon).
