My computer is either dying or dead. I'm going to try to get it back long enough to save my files onto a flash drive, but it looks like I'll need a new computer Real Soon, since my laptop won't be enough to handle everything.

Recommendations on something inexpensive and reliable would be greatly appreciated....

Mine's a Toshiba NB205, from Best Buy. It came with Windows XP, Skype, bluetooth, and WiFi soft/hardware installed, as well as a built in webcamera, three USB ports, and an ethernet port. It can run a line out to a printer, and headphone/microphone/speaker jacks, and a slot for a memory card on the front.

It really is a very versatile piece of machinery, and it has a lot of functions I don't particularly need, but I got it because it had a big enough processor that I could run nearly everything I needed online with it. CPU N280 1.66GHz. 0.99GB of RAM.

It was on the high end of price for the netbooks they had in the store, but it was also the one they couldn't keep on the shelves. And, having used this one for several months now, I am in LOVE with it. HIGHLY reccomended, even with the potential additional price of the USB storage and/or USB disk drive. (You can find those for under $100 easily these days, BTW.)
