Happy New Year, I think
Had a lovely, quiet New Year's at T&B's house last night, including seeing the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Christmas special (surprisingly good, although the identical clone-like dresses and necklaces on the women were somewhat disturbing) and the second National Treasure movie. I stayed up too late and slept in, and got up to something I hadn't felt in eight years.
Vertigo.
Now, I've had sinus problems for a couple of weeks and hadn't taken either a Claritin or my daily Flonase yesterday, so that might have been part of it. I'm walking pretty well and am not nauseous, and I didn't have to close my eyes and cling to the mattress. My bet is that it's sinus-related and will clear up shortly.
However...one of the possible symptoms of my neuroma changing shape or growing is vertigo. I'm going to call my doctor on Monday and ask for an immediate referral for an appointment with Dr. McKenna in Boston so he can order my yearly MRI. I'm due anyway, and better to know if my little nemesis is growing or not now, when I can plan out the year and the month I'd need to take off from work for surgery and recuperation.
Other than that, Happy 2010!
