Oh, this brought tears to my eyes. My brother's cat, Cupcake, who passed two years ago, would have done that. She was so tolerant and loving. You could pluck her up, put her in your lap as a movie was starting and she would just sit there and purr happily all the way through. She was the perfect, almost-boneless cat. If you showed her even a tiny amount of affection, she'd adore you and just slump by you and purr endlessly. He used to get her at Christmas and rubber stamp her paw and put paw prints on his cards. She never complained, just purred and purred.
