Did one set on some weights, rode the bike for 20 minutes, finished up with ten minutes on the treadmill. Am not nearly as sore as I thought I'd be. Bike first seems to help with leg cramping and loosen up muscles, plus less strain on the bad knee.

Also, iPod is invaluable. If I had to listen to the whirring exercise machines and the ridiculous crap on the TVs they provide (Pardon the Interruption v. Sixteen and Pregnant v. CNN v. God only knows what) I think I'd grab the nearest barbell and brain someone. *falls to knees and kisses Steve Jobs' feet*

Finally, have acquired new Bruce Hornsby CD. It's the best stuff he's done in years, with four songs ("Black Rats of London," "Cyclone," "Levitate" and "The Low Country") that are as good as anything he's ever done, with wickedly amusing lyrics and his signature piano work. Really excellent drive-time music, and of course it's now on the iPod, along with Beethoven (the Eroica symphony is quite wonderful workout music, much to my surprise) and lots of other wonderful music....

I love using my ipod those rare times I can make myself go to the gym. I love to listen to audio books when I'm on the treadmill.

Wish I could do the bike... but when I last went to therapy it actually put more strain on my knee and made it worse. :( Just have to remember to get my walking in instead. :)
