I heard about this on the radio yesterday, along with the related story that Catholic Charities (or the DC subsidiary thereof) has decided to take its ball and go home: they've dropped all spousal health-care benefits, so as not to be required to cover same-sex spouses, and they've shut down their 80-year-old foster care program, so as not to be required to place children with same-sex couples. See this article, for example.
I'd like to, too, except that Catholic Charities really does do a lot of good work, which this snit-fit on their part will prevent them from doing. God forbid we should do a mitzvah for the wrong sort of people!
BTW, if you do a Google search for news stories related to this, the Catholic press and the right-wing press describe it as a necessary sacrifice to preserve freedom of religion from government interference.
