My apprentice Una made the merciful decision to end her beloved cat's suffering tonight. He was 16 and his heart was so bad that the vet said it was a matter of days. I went over to her house for a couple of hours after work and found her subdued but certain that she'd done the right thing, as much as it hurt.
We will be at the Hrim Schola on Saturday. Una will be bringing her spinning along, including a lovely skein of white Icelandic. I hope that time among friends and fiber lovers will lift her spirits.
Thank you all for your kind thoughts and good wishes. They are appreciated.
