If it was someone from Cleveland or Blacksburg, I'd shrug and move on. If it was Lisa Bernardi, who made my life a living hell for seven years and was a major reason I haven't lived in Pittsburgh since 1982, I'm not sure. My high school classmates have assured me that she never comes to reunions and has dropped out of sight, but I'm not willing to spend the money to find out because the mere thought of ever seeing her again, anywhere, at any time, leaves me incoherent with rage.

I ran into my Lisa Bernardi counterpart when I was an undergrad at UMass. She acted all happy to see my friend Laurie and me... and we looked at each other in bafflement and walked away, saying (audibly), "Doesn't she remember what a bitch she was to us? Why would we want to talk to her now?"
