I've always wondered what John McCain would do if he'd suddenly been whisked back in time and dropped, say, into a unit like the Theban Sacred Band that was pretty much entirely composed of male/male couples? They were considered some of the fiercest warriors of the ancient world, in large part because it was believed that they'd fight all the harder to save their lovers.
