It was the eeriest commute of my life. Not only were there very few cars out, the odd time dilation caused by silence and blowing snow kicked in while I was in Hadley. It was as if I were driving through a ghost landscape where time and space and distance were irrelevant. Very strange.

And oh, for the curious: here's my electric shovel/snow thrower. Small and sort of wimpy, but it helped a lot.

That electric shovel is pretty cool! We don't need one however. We have The Neighbor - the one who is 85 if he is a day and has a competition going with my husband to see who can get up earliest to shovel the ENTIRE STREET's sidewalks, including spaces to access cars (he does not own a car himself). Today The Neighbor was up by 5:30 a.m....ask me how I know... =headdesk=

I used to have that one!
It was terrific, I passed it on to a friend when I inherited bigger.

Glad you made it safely, people shoveling without someone keeping an eye on them scares me.

It's surprisingly useful given its size. I like it a lot.
