Two girls who looked about twelve giggling and making "oo, gross" noises at the sex manuals.

They scarpered off before I had a chance to warn them, politely, that they were really a bit too young....

they aren't that young - to be curious about the mechanics of things, anyway. I was about 12 when I started learning about sex from the romance novel section of the public library, and later, the "forbidden" section of the accidental library in the attic in my grandmother's house.

I am, if anything, vaguely heartened that their response is an age-appropriate "ewwwwwww!"

Considering the number of pregnant 12 year olds I've seen recently, I'm glad they were curious enough to say ewwww gross, but not quite curious enough to take notes.

Not too young, not really. I mean, I learned about sex from romance novels and swiping my mom's copy of Joy of Sex at about the same age.
