1991: Living in an increasingly depressed neighborhood, married and oblivious.
1981: In my college dormitory, single and curious.
1971: In Blacksburg with my parents, discovering Tolkien.
1961: In Pittsburgh with my parents, doing whatever a seven month old baby does.
