Last night when I was changing the litterbox I stepped on a tack.

Guess who's calling the doctor to see whether she needs a tetanus shot?

As for the car...I had Sapphy towed to my mechanic and will be picked up by my friend Todd and taken to work. I'll call my doctor when I get in, see whether I need to come in and when, and then probably have Todd take me there.

Then tomorrow I start the prep for my - drumroll - baseline colonoscopy on Wednesday. Fortunately it's being done by my surgeon, Dr. Wojcik, so I'm sure that jokes at the expense of my surgically reconstructed body part will abound.

I cannot WAIT for the weekend, let me tell you.

That's just made me shudder. The tack, not your car's misfortunes or even the colonoscopy. I hope you don't need the anti-tetanus.

Our cats' litter tray is next to the freezer, and I contrived to knock i_g's bicycle water bottle, which was standing on the freezer for some reason, right into the litter as I was about to scoop it yesterday. So I hastily washed it and then put it in the dishwasher for good measure. Later on he was muttering that the bottle had gone missing; I didn't confess.

The good news is that I am current on my tetanus/diphtheria shot, thanks to the diligence of my doctor.

Bad news is that I'm looking at huge car repair bill, which will sort of kill my vacation plans for this summer...but better to have a working vehicle any day of the week.
