Let's see...yesterday morning I woke up thinking it was Friday, not Thursday, and was seriously bummed. Then I had to defrost the icemaker at the office and remove an ice dam roughly the size of the berg that whacked out the Titanic. This resulted in a huge wet puddle on the kitchenette floor, which I then had to mop up before someone tripped, broke themselves, and filed a workers' comp claim.
Then today I managed to chip a crown at lunch. It's a huge chunk, and I didn't even notice because the tooth in question had a root canal three years ago and so there are no nerves. I had to make an emergency visit to my dentist, who filed down the rough edges and set me up for an appointment in two weeks. Fortunately my dentist is a mensch and is knocking a substantial chunk off the fee, plus my insurance will pick up about half the cost of a new one. Still, not pleasant.
And now I have a headache. Thank God it's time to go home!
