This morning I saw a peaceful protest

The first couple dozen protesters from Occupy Northampton had taken their place in front of Bank of America on Main Street in downtown Northampton when I drove past on my way to work. I honked and gave them a thumbs-up, and got several cheery waves in return. It was cold morning, too, since last night was the first frost of the season, and I didn't envy them standing out there holding signs.

God bless them, and all the others who are finally calling out the banks and the giant corporations for their greed.

I'm definitely looking to contributing some sort of supplies or funds for supplies to the Occupy DC branch this weekend. They probably need mylar blankets, because it's been dipping into the 40s at night this week.

I really respect those who have a beef and take action to correct the problem they have identified. Good for them for not just sitting around whinging! Glad you were able to give them some moral support :)
