ellid: (Woe)
He was in the house around 6:30 - Roomie saw him. And by the time I came home at 8:30 or so, he was gone. Somehow he got out.

He has a collar with his name and my phone number.

I just spent the last hour driving the neighborhood looking for him. Nothing.

I only had him three months.....

UPDATE: Roomie had just texted a prayer to her sister when she heard a mew at the front door, and guess who sauntered in?

I don't know whether to hug him or turn him into a rug!

OH NO!!!! Oh, honey, I hope you find him, or he comes home!!! *HUGS*

You're sure he isn't just hiding somewhere in the house????

We've looked, and called, and left food out.

Nothing.

I'll say a safe kitty prayer for you both, and keep my fingers crossed! *HUGS*

Well, your prayer worked, because he just sauntered back inside after a refreshing stroll around the neighborhood.

*argh*

I am so relieved!

Roomie was feeling awful since he must have somehow gotten past her...and then he strolled in as if nothing had happened.

*rolls eyes*

Cats!

Wicked beast! So glad he's back.

You and me both :)

And yes, he is very very wicked!

I'm so glad to hear he found his way back!

Me, too. I'd love to know where he went!

Yeah, that was basically it...I was sitting my desk crying when Roomie called my name and said he was back.

All I could think of was that lecture from K'zoo last year where Sarah-Grace talked about "Vair, Sable, Phoenix, and Kitty-Cat".....

At least now you know the horrible creature knows how to come back. Glad he's safe!

That was the one saving grace, since he's only lived here since December. I was really afraid that he'd head over Mount Tom into Holyoke, the neighboring town where he was found wandering as a stray in December.

Cats are really something else.

Wretched animal! I'm really glad he came home.

I'd spent the previous hour driving the neighborhood looking for him, and of course he didn't show. And then, after I'd had a crying jag and called the town Animal Control office, he came back.

Cats really are perverse little creatures in some ways...

Ah, spring......

Our now inside cat has led us merrily through the neighborhood at midnight twice this week.

Now starts the months of extra careful door scrutiny.

No kidding. Roomie was so upset since he'd somehow gotten past her. "Constant vigilance" is now our mantra.

I can't remember, is Gil micro chipped? If not, you might want to talk to your vet. Cats can and do get out of collars, especially if they're outdoors.

Oh, he's most definitely microchipped. It's on the side of his neck.

What I *really* wish I had was Lo-Jack.....

its a bit big for a cat yet...

If you could get him to wear a harness perhaps..

I'm glad he's back! My kitty would go out all the time (of course, we let him) and sometimes would be gone for days. He would always come home, though. I think it's a normal thing for kitties to go explore and then come home again.
