I just found out that an old friend died today after a long battle against illness and pain. Her husband is being cared for by friends, and a memorial service is planned in the next couple of weeks.
We'd lost touch over the years, but she was still a friend. And she passed far, far too young.
Sleep well, my friend, and may the Lord welcome you to His side, where there will be no pain, no illness, and nothing but joy while you wait for your beloved to join you.
