In other good news, I have an interview next Friday. The only weirdness is that they want to do skills testing first. Given that I have over twenty years' experience as an office worker, am I right to feel slightly insulted at this? Or what?

Agreed with the others above - I've got over *thirty* years of office experience, but still get tested! It's simply standard practice - they have to treat all applicants alike.
