Is there such a thing as "vacation crud?"

Because I came back from vacation, started to feel lousy last night, and ended up going home early today and falling face-first into bed because I seem to have acquired a cold. I have no idea *why* since I haven't been around any sick people lately, but after I started to get dizzy this afternoon and three separate people heard me sneezing and said "you need to go, I'll cover for you," well, who was I to tough it out?

I'm about to take a hot bath and slug down some Nyquil. Colds SUCK.

My observation is that it's common to get sick during/just after vacations, if you travel, because you're being exposed to a whole new germ pool even if no one is obviously sick. The stress of traveling and of returning to work, with the frequent concomitant sleep issues, doesn't help. Sorry to hear you have a cold!

Agree with all of the above. Plus, air circulation on airplanes... germs go everywhere!
