This has been going on for decades, by the way - because Texas buys so many schoolbooks, their board's decisions have a nationwide impact. The Gablers found "mistakes," many of them bogus, in textbooks that departed from their own deeply conservative, right-wing evangelical Christian view of American history, biology, and social studies. The current school board is even worse.

Am halfway through reading it and I keep wanting to yell at these idiots. Or better yet, get them locked away for their delusions which make them dangerous to society...
